The village of Casa Branca, in Sousel, exemplifies the purest Alentejo - guardian of ancient traditions and endless plains.
The village, located in Alto Alentejo, owes its name to an old white house built to store the agricultural utensils used on Quinta do Zagalo, which also served as a landmark for travelers passing through on their way to Avis.

Surrounded by abundant nature, Casa Branca is synonymous with tranquility: a place that invites you to disconnect from routine and rest in the peace and silence characteristic of the deep Alentejo.
However, like in times past, the village is also a connecting point between various nearby places of interest in the region. To the north, the town of Avis is only a 15-minute drive away. To the east, Casa Branca is 30 minutes away from Estremoz and Borba. To the south, an hour's journey will take you to Évora.
A genuine Alentejo village that preserves the roots and traditions of the past. Iconic places like the Casa Branca Mother Church, built in the 18th century, or the ancient Álamo Tower, believed to have belonged to Camões' family, are living examples of the history of this locality, which welcomes visitors with true Alentejo hospitality.
